Eugenio PérezFounding member of the of the Ensemble NeoArs Sonora, Canarias Brass Quintet, and of the Frecuencia Wind Quintet, and member of the Orotava Ensemble since its inception in 2006, Eugenio Pérez Hernández enjoys an active chamber music career, with concerts in California, France, throughout mainland Spain, and in the Canary Islands.

He has held the position of assistant principal horn in the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra since 1994, performing extensive symphonic and operatic repertoire, working with internationally renowned conductors such as Victor Pablo Pérez, Victor Lieberman, James Judd, Lü Jía, Jesús López Cobos, Josep Pons, internationally renowned soloists, and performing in the famous concert halls of Europe. He has also played on multiple occasions as a guest with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, and the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada.

Graduating with his Master's Degree in Horn performance in 1998 from the Conservatory in Tenerife, Eugenio Pérez Hernández studied with Luciano Pérez, Guillermo Zarzo, and Jeffrey Cooper. During his studies, he won First Prize in the Musicanarias Young Artist's Competition. Through masterclasses and courses, Eugenio Pérez has had the opportunity to work with professors of international renown such as Vicente Zarzo, Bruno Schneider, Richard Watkins, Chris Leuba, and with the former first horn of the San Francisco Symphony, David Krehbiel, as a participant in the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. He also was chosen to perform with the National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE), where he appeared in a film with Penelope Cruz "Allegro ma non Troppo."

As a professor, Mr. Pérez has taught classes at the La Orotava Conservatory, Music School, and Academy. In 2004, he was hired as Professor of Orchestral Repertory at the Horn Symposium in Valencia.

Eugenio Pérez has performed important repertoire as a soloist with orchestra, including the R. Strauss Concerto n.1, Schumann Konzertstücke, Mozart Sinfonia Concertante for Winds, Haydn Concerto n.1, Schumann Adagio and Allegro, and two Telemann concertos with, respectively, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, Orquesta Clásica de La Laguna, and the Orquesta Villa de La Orotava en Tenerife.
